Toupee Clips

Because of the diversity of its wearers, many techniques have evolved for attaching a toupee. While tape or toupee glue are often used when the bald patch is large and the surrounding hair sparse, clips are an excellent option when there is plenty of hair surrounding a relatively small area.

Clips have the advantage of being longer-lasting than tape, which must be changed at regular intervals, and can be more comfortable than adhesives for some wearers. They come in many different colors, materials, and sizes, and therefore boast a suitable option for almost everyone.

Here are some things to keep in mind when considering toupee clips:

1. Will you wear your toupee with clips alone or with a combination of tape and clips?

2. How much can you afford to spend? Clips are seldom expensive, but there is an appreciable range in price from a few cents to around $10 a piece.

3. How much surrounding hair do you have? For thick hair, you’ll need a larger clip. However, if your hair is very thin or extremely fine, a smaller clip is best.

4. What color is your toupee? It’s best to buy a clip that will blend in.
